Often, additional concerns are raised due to the societal stigma attached to the public announcement of an arrest for formal criminal charge for a sexual offense. This is especially true when the allegations involve conduct alleged with a child. (Please see our section on sexual offenders).
Due to the arrest or formal charge entering, considered primarily on testimony from a single alleged victim (referred to as one-on-one testimony), law enforcement and prosecution authority have developed an instituted special teams, units, divisions, and procedures to aid in the arrest and prosecution of the alleged perpetrator of a sexual offense. Among these procedures are special attentions to medical exams to develop DNA evidence through hair and skin fragments as well as bodily fluids. Additionally, special teams, such as the Child Protection Team, and special divisions, such as the Sexual Assault Division of the State Attorney’s Office have been developed and instituted to aid in securing successful prosecutions.
Attorney Robert Morrow, with his over 30 years of legal experience, and his former association with the State Attorney’s offices of the Fourth, Seventh, and Twelfth Judicial Circuits is able to apply his skill, knowledge, and experience to maneuver within these law enforcement and prosecutorial structures in order to defend his clients while providing a high degree of personal service to his clients and their families.
